Dr. William Walsh is both a prolific scientist and master storyteller. His work with nutrient therapy offers revolutionary treatments for anxiety, depression, autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, cancer, O.C.D., Alzheimer’s, post-partum depression, and many more conditions. All of this is done with the use of vitamins and minerals, often eliminating the need for prescription medications and their harmful side effects. Dr. Walsh has consulted for the FBI, Scotland Yard, Olympic athletes, and now he teaches doctors and psychiatrists all over the world how to harness the power of nutrients. I hope you will listen and share with anyone affected by any of these conditions, as well as any medical or mental health professionals who can help patients with these conditions.

Dr. Walsh’s book is Nutrient Power: Heal Your Biochemistry and Heal Your Brain, and is available via his website walshinstitute.org and on Amazon.

LAB TESTS mentioned in show:
For Alzheimer’s – plasma zinc (normal range is 90 – 120 mg/deciliter), c-reactive protein (shows level of inflammation, which curcumin can lower), serum copper, ceruloplasmin (these 2 show oxidative stress as 40-50% unbound copper is a good marker of oxidative stress), urine pyrroles test (this is offered at many labs such as Labcorp, but please call their headquarters and ask for instructions for the test. The sample must be taken in a dimly lit room, placed in a light-protected container, and frozen right away. Many labs will not pay attention as this is not a common test, and if this is not all done properly the results can be skewed. You might have to micromanage it yourself but it will retrieve more accurate results). The urine pyrroles test is also a good marker of oxidative stress. There is no commercial test for metallothionine.
Lab tests for Pyroluria (which we barely touched on but it is a significant condition to explore of you have an open-minded doctor): serum copper, plasma zinc, cerruloplasmin, whole blood histamine, urine pyrroles. DHA labs offers a Pyroluria panel but it does not include ceruloplamin.
