Episode 35 – Lucid Dreaming with Robert Waggoner

Robert Waggoner is the author of two books on lucid dreaming, servers as co-editor of the online magazine The Lucid Dreaming Experience, and has been an active lucid dreamer since 1975. In this episode Robert shares tips for how to have a lucid dream, the difference between lucid dreams, astral projection, and out of body experiences, and we talk about the deeper levels of consciousness including our inner awareness. We also explore the various types of dream figures, and the ‘awareness behind the dream’, and how to interact with both dream figures and our deeper awareness.

Today is Friday the 13th…but have no fear! The negative associations with this day are purely patriarchal constructs. In pre-patriarchal times, both Friday and the number 13 had associations with the Divine Feminine. There are 13 lunar cycles in a year, and the moon is associated with both feminine energy and psychic abilities. I can tell you that a lot more people recall their dreams around the full moon, as well. The word Friday is derived from ‘dies Veneris’ in Latin, which means ‘Day of Venus’. Venus is the Goddess of love, beauty, and all things Divine Feminine. So let’s turn this date around and celebrate the Divine Feminine within! No matter your gender, we all have all the energies within us, so celebrate the love and beauty within yourself as well as in others.

Walker who was born in the 1800’s to former slaves, but got an idea from a dream that led to her creating a business that would make her the first female, African American millionaire.
