Many of our night time dreams have to do with love and romance. But when we translate their meaning to waking life understanding, they may have everything (or nothing!) to do with our relationships to other people. This workshop will explore the most common dream themes we have regarding love, lust, relationships, sexuality, romance, and our connectedness to ourselves and others. You will learn the universal meanings of these dream themes, as well as how to understand what the dreams mean for you, specifically. Many extraordinary and paranormal phenomena take place during the sleep and dream states.  Night time and the twilight state are also especially conducive to these experiences. While some dreams may be more about psychological processing, others undoubtedly include experiences beyond this, into the realm of the spiritual and metaphysical.

This workshop will explore some of these phenomena, including: visitations from departed loved ones, telepathic, precognitive, clairvoyant and shared dreams, sleep paralysis, and empathic telepathy dreams. This talk will be presented by Seattle dream expert Mimi Pettibone. She offers workshops, groups and private consultations related to dreams, intuition, and conscious and subconscious communication.

Drawing Wisdom from Dreams:
Our dreaming mind thinks in pictures and images, translating our experiences from the past, present, and potential future into visual metaphors and sometimes literal images.  This experiential workshop will provide a way to explore and gain some deeper insights into the fascinating landscape of our night time dreams and the messages they hold for us. 

Bring an image from a dream that you are curious about to draw in the class. If you don’t remember a dream, you can still participate by doing a drawing to interpret (instructions will be provided), or you can just be an observer if you prefer. No background or skills in art or drawing are required as we are not looking for artistic ability, but for what our subconscious minds are communicating to us. Through various interpretive processes we will look at the drawings to uncover new layers of meaning from our dreams.  You will learn valuable ways to understand dreams and the messages conveyed in their images.

Colored pens, pencils, crayons and paper will be provided, or bring your own supplies if you have your favorite. 

This class will be taught by Seattle dream interpreter Mimi Pettibone. Her areas of interest and fascination include dreams, subconscious communication and intuition. She is a natural empath and her background also includes Neuro-Linguistic Programming, graphology and the symbolic language of tarot. She enjoys teaching workshops, doing private consultations and readings for events and parties.

I will be doing dream interpretation, handwriting analysis and some other fun activities at this exciting holiday event! My good friend DJ Leslie of Seattle Parties always knows how to throw a good party, and this event is open to the public so come and enjoy the festivities!

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Dreams are a fascinating source of information that can help us better understand our selves, our lives and our relationships.  There is a greater part of our minds that is working in mysterious ways while we sleep, and this can help us problem solve, form creative ideas, and even be a source of precognitive and telepathic information.  Many scientific discoveries and famous works of art have been conceived of in dreams.

In this workshop you will learn:
•    How to remember your dreams
•    How to ask for a dream regarding a specific topic
•    Tips for working with and understanding your own dreams
•    Some of the most common dreams and their meanings
Bring a dream if you have one you would like to share or ask about, however no sharing or dream recall is required.  Bring your questions and an open mind!

Have you ever dreamed of a departed loved one, and the experience felt so real that it seemed like they were actually with you, more so than ‘just a dream’?  You may have smelled their perfume, had a conversation with them, or received a message of comfort. Or perhaps it was a beloved pet that came to visit you.
Researchers are finding common threads that these dreams share, making them stand out as different from other dreams.  Even when a person has never heard the experiences of others, there are many similarities. I believe these visitations are very real indeed, and how comforting to think that life does not end with the physical body.
