A dream writes:
If my dream were a movie, I would call it ‘The Contract’.  In my dream, we had to kill to not be killed, people we didn’t know would come, trained people, and slowly they would kill us. I refused staying anymore in that world and left, waking up in my dream world, in my house pool, with my laptop on, and I grabbed it and threw it in the pool. Though after I was worried so I took it out with me, and I woke up.

Answer:
Guns in dreams can often represent an expression of anger.  So I would ask you, is there some aspect of life where it feels like people are ‘out to get’ each other, maybe not literally with guns, but either verbally attacking, criticizing or otherwise trying to take each other down? If so that could be what this part of the dream represents.  The fact that you ‘woke up’ to another reality (while still in the dream state) might show your mental ability to get yourself out of such unhealthy situations.  Why you threw your laptop in the pool, I would have to ask you; perhaps it was another form of ‘ridding’ yourself of that unhealthy reality full of conflict.  Often in a dream when we ‘wake up’ it can represent our own awakening to a higher level of awareness or consciousness.

A female dreamer writes:

“I had an intimate dream about a woman I used to work with.  I’m not happy with my sex life with my husband, does this mean I’m gay?”

Answer:

No it does not mean that you are gay. If you have been questioning your sexual orientation since before the dream, and you feel strongly about it, then it’s something to consider. But for someone who has otherwise been fairly certain about their sexuality, in no way does this type of dream imply that the dreamer is gay.  What it usually means is that the person you connected with in the dream has some qualities that you would like more of in yourself. So ask yourself: what does this person represent to you? How would you describe her personality?

You mentioned that you worked with her, so here are some ideas; If you worked w/her, are you still working? If not, maybe it’s work that you are missing. Or when you describe her personality, is there something about her that you want to be more like? Perhaps the dream is showing you what’s missing in your life (i.e. what she represents to you, whether its work, or a personality trait, or something else). Once we are more fulfilled in ourselves, everything seems to improve.  This can have a domino effect and can help improve your relationship as well.

I hope this helps,

~Mimi

Here is a great example of someone who follows their intuition – from a Q&A by the CRAVE Company with entrepreneur Raquel Lozano:

What tip would you give women who are starting a business?
Make sure it’s something you really believe in. Follow your first gut instinct and then flesh it out later. Exercise caution when taking advice and remember: Ultimately the final decision is yours.

Friday December 28th at 10am I will be a guest on the Mantz and Mitchell show on KKNW 1150 AM discussing this fascinating topic.
Have you ever dreamed of a departed loved one, and the experience felt so real that it seemed like they were actually with you, more so than ‘just a dream’?  You may have smelled their perfume, had a conversation with them, or received a message of comfort. Or perhaps it was a beloved pet that came to visit you.
Researchers are finding common threads that these dreams share, making them stand out as different from other dreams.  Even when a person has never heard the experiences of others, there are many similarities. I believe these visitations are very real indeed, and how comforting to think that life does not end with the physical body.

Come find out what your handwriting reveals about your personality, and how this can enhance your skills in all of your relationships. In this class you will learn:

  •     Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
  •     Do you lead with your head or your heart?
  •     How does your public persona compare to how you really feel inside?
  •     Do you prefer close connections with others, or need more time alone?
  •     Are you thinking about the future, or stuck in the past?
  •     Would you rather be: thinking, doing, or being?
  •     Are you more emotionally expressive, or calm, cool, and collected?

You will find out where your personality strengths are (as well as weaknesses – we could all use a little help!), and how  this knowledge can enhance the quality of your relationships.

Handwriting is a form of subconscious expression, an extension of Body Language, and has been used by the FBI and Fortune 500 companies. This portion of this class will be taught by me, and I am once again teaming up with relationship expert Renessa Rios.  Renessa will chime in about how our personality traits contribute to our relationship styles (specifically dating, but you can apply the information to all types of relationships). Her singles group will be there, and she will offer her expertise regarding some of the do’s and don’ts of dating communication such as texting and emailing, and when to pick up the phone.

That said,  I would like to invite anyone who finds this topic of interest, as relationships take many different forms in our lives and most of the information can be applied across the board.

I hope you will join us for this exciting and ground breaking class!

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space.  In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”

(Privately Hosted Social Club Event)  February 5, 2013  Time:  6:30-8:30pm

Did you know that your dreams can help you with your relationships?  Understanding your dreams can give you new insights about your relationships from a non-defensive perspective. What is stopping you from having the relationship you desire…Is it other people?  Or have you built internal barriers against it? Our dreams will show us what other people are doing that may or may not be healthy for us, as well as what we are doing to get in our own way.

In addition to exploring how our dreams can help us with our relationships, this class will also cover some of the most common sensual dream themes and what they often mean!  Bring your questions and a curious mind.

(Privately Hosted Social Club Event)  November 28, 2012, 7pm-9pm

This experiential workshop will begin with an introductory talk about our night time dreams, answering some of the most common questions, and giving you a general overview about how dreams work.

Next we will get out the drawing supplies and select a scene from a dream to draw. It can be a favorite dream, a perplexing or intriguing one, or even a scary one. Choose something you would like to explore. If you don’t remember a dream you can draw a scene from waking life or your imagination, or just observe and participate in the rest of the workshop.  You don’t need to be a great artist or have any background or skills in art or drawing!  We are not looking for that.  After the drawings are complete we will learn some ways of working with the images in a group format that will provide insights to not only the dreamer but to the group as a whole.

Bring your questions, and have a dream scene in mind to draw.  Participants are not required to draw, feel free to come and observe, you will still learn and gain from the experience. Colored pens, pencils, crayons and paper will be provided, feel free to bring your own supplies if you have your favorite you’d like to use.
